These courses are intended for practitioners who have completed some previous education in Ayurveda. A basic understanding of Ayurvedic concepts and methodology is required.

In Sanskrit, “Shiro” means head, and “Dhara” means flow. Shirodhara can be though of as a kind of massage to the soul.
Held in the heart of beautiful Utrecht, this full day Shirodhara class will teach you every aspect of this transformative therapy. Topics include the doshic significance of the treatment, indications and contraindications, how to determine appropriate treatment duration, choice of oils to use, list of required materials, and full step-by-step procedures with hands on guidance.
Small class sizes of 6 students pre session guarantee full instructor attention. Three massage tables means that you will work in pairs, taking turns to be both practitioner and client.

In Sanskrit, “Ud” means upward, or toward a higher direction. “Varthana” means to move or to turn. In this treatment herbal powders are applied to the body and rubbed always in the direction of the heart.
As a part of the Panchakarma regimen, or as a stand-alone treatment, Udvarthana is typically used to improve skin health, reduce subcutaneous fat, stimulate circulation, and detoxify the body.
It is particularly valued for its ability to balance the Kapha dosha, making it effective in managing obesity and related conditions.
In this course we will cover everything from setting up your treatment room, highlighting all of the materials that are required, discussing how to determine which herbal powder to use, as well as the indications and contraindications of the Udvarthana treatment.

Nasya is a part of the Panchakarma therapy and helps to eliminate toxins from the head region. Just as our Praana- or life energy- enters the body through the nose, introducing herbal remedies through this pathway can be exceptionally effective.
Nasya is a natural remedy which helps alleviate the discomfort brought on by harsh winter conditions, including the constant changing from cold air outdoors and dry warm air indoors. It is also very effective in combatting the effects of seasonal allergies.
